PHP Developer

We are looking for a PHP Developer who wants to understand the system as a whole and cares about the quality of solutions, whether you are looking to keep growing further or want to fully apply your existing experience.

What will be your job

• Development and long-term evolution of backend applications in PHP 8.x / Symfony

• Working with an existing, larger codebase, including refactoring and gradual simplification of the architecture

• Design and optimization of relational databases (MySQL / MariaDB)

• Design and operation of asynchronous processes (Symfony Messenger, queues, background jobs)

• Collaboration with developers, analysts, and the product team – you will have a real opportunity to actively influence technical decisions

• For more senior colleagues, we naturally expect a greater influence on architecture and technical direction

Technologies you will work with

• PHP 8.x, OOP, with an emphasis on readability, testability, and maintainability

• Symfony (not just the framework, but the entire ecosystem)

• MySQL / MariaDB

• Asynchronous processing (e.g. RabbitMQ, Symfony Messenger)

• Docker for local development

• Git, CI/CD

• Testing and code quality (PHPUnit, static analysis)

What we expect of you

• You have advanced or senior-level experience with backend development in PHP

• You can quickly navigate an unfamiliar system and understand relationships across the entire application

• You care about solution quality and don’t look for “quick fixes,” but for a long-term, sustainable approach

• You can defend technical decisions and explain them clearly to others

• You naturally think about performance, security, and how solutions behave in production

Nice to have

• Experience with larger systems or complex domains

• Caching (Redis / KeyDB), full-text search (Elasticsearch)

• API design (REST / event-driven)

• Performance optimization and working with bottlenecks
