Case Study: Modernization of a Diagnostic Application for Stadler

Case Study: Modernization of a Diagnostic Application for Stadler

For Stadler, a global manufacturer of train sets, we rewrote an outdated diagnostic application using a modern stack of Java, React, and Electron. The diagnostics department can now configure warning systems for entire train sets at once, rather than train by train. We delivered the project within a fixed budget of 461,000 EUR.

Within budget and without vendor lock-in

The original application for configuring diagnostic reports on trains was slow and practically impossible to maintain; every change required a developer. The diagnostics department wanted to work independently, and the budget could not be exceeded. We delivered the code to a senior developer at Stadler every two weeks and provided comprehensive training documentation at the end of the project. Today, the internal team manages and modifies the application on its own.
